A Guide to Holocaust related teaching materials.

One of the great tragedies of our time took place in Germany during World War II. It is important that we look to these terrible acts to remind us of the places that we do not wish to return. If you are teaching about the Holocaust there is a great deal of material available in books and on the web. Unfortunately not all of the resources are appropriate, and some are actually produced by antisemitic groups that paint a positive slant on the Holocaust. I came across this site which is one of the best sites I have found to find resources related to the Holocaust. It contains many photos, documents, lists of books, movies, and much more. The photos and materials I viewed show a great deal about the tragic conditions, yet leave out some of the more grotesque pictures. I think this is a good balance, because there is a fine line between understanding the inhumanity, and celebrating the gore. This site has done well to find the balance.
